RIA Symposium on Professional Excellence: 2021 /
2022
Guidelines
If you wish to publish a paper for the symposium, please
follow the instructions given below:
Think of a theme /topic that you are confident and
knowledgeable
Do some reading on the same theme to find out the existing
literature of
what others have written on the same. Use Google Scholar for your
research as much as
possible, unless you refer reports of cooperative societies.
Categories their views under different themes such as
similar ideas,
different ideas, something new, something very controversial etc.
Now go through all above under each category and find a knowledge
gap
(what is not addressed by anyone so far, in any of those areas
If you think that you can find an answer to that
question/like that area,
select it. And form a relevant question/topic related to the same
Now,
a) Literature review:
read all what you have read, analyses and categorize
related to the selected topic and write a brief note on each of those on
what others have said, similarities and differences and any topic/area
that no one has not written anything on the same. Write a brief report
on your topic and say what others have said/stated on the same,
similarities, differences and any knowledge gap in those. This is going
to be the base of your reseach and write a few sentences on the same and
indicate why you are interested in the topic, how you are going to
collect relevant information from a reseach and the topic of the same.
b) Methodology:
this is where you have to indicate how you are going to do
the research to find out the answer to the question that you have
selected. It could be done in several means, by reading more on the same
and collecting literature from the internet and find out how others have
found out solutions to any similar issue. Or, you can think of getting
the views of people whom you think are knowledgeable or have experience
on the same etc. to gain their views, we can prepare a short
questionnaire aiming what you need to know. In addition to the same, you
can visit and see, how they operate in their real work place. You can
also interview some of the key players to get more information.
c) Analysis of the
findings:
Here you have to refer the initial research question of
yours and the information that you wanted to collect and now, feed those
areas with what you have found under above a) and b). However, you have
to add your views in this process, of what you feel of those findings
and how authentic they are and any gaps which you need more information.
Now, go through the whole paper and write a brief note on the whole in
less than 250 words, which is going to be the abstract of your paper.
You have to indicate 3 or 4 keywords of the whole document under this
abstract. Although you write the abstract in the end, after analyzing
the whole picture, abstract is the gist which gives a clear picture of
your article. Hence, in each paper
Finally, you are now ready with a draft. It is time to add the
references, page numbers and adhere to the given guidelines. Send your
first draft to the supervisor and finalize based on the given
instructions.
Final document should contain around 2000- 3500 words c). finalizing
